IIIT has just translated two books into Urdu dealing with the objectives of Islamic Law (Maqasid al Shari'ah). The first book is "Imam Al-Shatibi's Theory of the Higher Objectives of Islamic Law" by Ahmad al-Raysuni. The second is "Maqasid Al-Shariah as Philosophy of Islamic Law: A Systems Approach" by Jasser Auda.
The University of Science and Technology (UST) - a private, nonprofit institution in Yemen’s capital city Sana'a, with a number of campuses around the country – has entered into an agreement with International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) under which IIIT is advising the faculty and administration of UST on curriculum and new program development, according to IIIT vice president Dr. Jamal Barzinji.

The International Islamic Charitable Organization of Kuwait (IICO) held its general Assembly meeting on the 13th of May 2008. Seven directors and Academic Advisors from IIIT attended and Dr. Barzinji delivered the Delegates Address to the General Assembly.
