"It (din al-fitrah) gives him the world to reknead and remold in the service of God. To serve God is  hence to create culture and civilization. But this is none other than to attain the highest possible self-fulfillment."

After 20 Years of Service IIIT Employee Retires
Monday, April 28, 2008 :: 416 Views

IIIT staff and directors, joined by their counterparts at Sterling Management Group, gathered on April 25, 2008 to recognize and thank Mr. Akbar Ali Mir for 20 years of service. Akbar Mir has decided to retire at the end of April and spend time with family and to enjoy his grandchildren. He has worked dedicatedly and diligently with several directors in different departments during the past twenty years, first at Marjac Investments and then at IIIT.

Colleagues, staff and directors expressed mixed feelings of sadness and joy. They were sad to see a fatherly figure leave but were happy to see the joy on his face as he was about to enter a new phase in his life. All noted his punctuality on the call to prayers and his acute sense of fairness, especially during staff meetings. Respected and loved, Mr. Mir will be greatly missed. Everyone at the gathering wished him the best in his new role as a retired father, grandfather and hopefully a great-grandfather.
