IIIT Vice-President Greets Pope

Dr. Jamal Barzinji, Vice-President of IIIT, has been invited to greet and meet His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI at a meeting arranged by His Eminence Francis Cardinal George, Archbishop of Chicago and President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on April 17th in Washington, D.C. at the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center. The meeting will include a papal address, followed by greetings from interfaith leaders and the presentation of gifts from members of each community.

This momentous gathering, set up by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops under the theme: Peace Our Hope: An Interreligious Gathering with His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, will include representatives from the Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and Jain communities.
