Wednesday, October 28, 2009 :: 1481 Views

Contextualising Islam in BritainThis month saw the launch of a report authored by a theologically diverse group of leading British Muslims entitled "Contextualising Islam in Britain". The scholars and practitioners who contributed to the report, published by Cambridge University, sought to answer a deceptively simple question: What does it mean to live faithfully as a Muslim in Britain today? Asim Siddiqui answers the question in this review article published by Common Ground News Service (CGNews).

Asim Siddiqui is a founding trustee of the City Circle, a network of young British Muslim professionals, and a founding board member of Cedar, a pan-European Muslim professional network.
